Night Shift Registered Nurse – Medical Observation
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Medical Observation unit on a 16-week contract. This is a night shift role (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 12-hour shifts) working 36 hours per week.
Schedule & Expectations
- Night shifts: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- 36 hours per week
- Weekend commitment: 1 shift per week or 2 shifts every other weekend
- Must work Thanksgiving and Black Friday
- Flexibility with scheduling adjustments as needed
- Block booking may be requested but is not guaranteed
Clinical Role
You'll provide nursing care to patients in medical observation, supporting acute medical and surgical/telemetry patients. Charge nurse responsibilities are requested but not required.
Required Qualifications
- Active New York RN License
- 1 year recent experience in acute med/surg or telemetry
- AHA BLS certification
- NIH certification
- 2 years U.S. work experience required for international candidates
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 years recent experience in acute med/surg or telemetry
Location Note
Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility.
