Emergency Department RN — Weatherford, TX

Nights | 13-Week Contract

This Emergency Department position is a night shift role (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) on a variable schedule, with every-other-weekend commitment and no on-call requirements. Guaranteed hours are 36 per week. Contract length is 13 weeks, with an anticipated start date of late September 2026.

Unit Overview

The ED manages a broad range of emergent and urgent presentations, including stroke cases (primary stroke designation), chest pain and STEMI response (PCI available 24/7), and Level IV trauma. The unit is staffed entirely by RNs, supported by lobby techs and a unit secretary.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department RN experience
• Active Texas RN License (temporary licenses not accepted)
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS or ENPC, TNCC, NIHSS

Preferred

• Prior experience with electronic documentation in an ED setting

Dress Code

• Scrubs: Royal Blue
• No artificial, gel, or next-gen nails; natural nails clean and short
• Hair neat and pulled back if shoulder-length or longer
• Tattoos covered when feasible; visible piercings limited to ears only
• Slip-resistant, non-absorbent footwear required (mesh athletic shoes not permitted)

Float Policy: Floating required as needed.
