Ultrasound Technologist – Day Shift

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced Ultrasound Technologist for a 13-week contract beginning late October 2026. You'll work day shift, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, with alternating weekend call on a standby rotation (Saturday–Sunday, 3:00 PM–7:00 AM).

Clinical Scope

You'll perform general diagnostic ultrasound studies with a focus on vascular imaging (lower extremity DVT evaluation), abdominal imaging, and interventional procedures including thoracentesis, paracentesis, and ultrasound-guided kidney and liver biopsies. The unit also includes NICU head ultrasounds and first-trimester OB scans. Patient population spans neonates, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics across outpatient and inpatient settings, with a daily census of approximately 11 patients.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of ultrasound experience (travel experience required)
• ARDMS certification (AB and OB)
• BLS certification
• Compact state license in hand at submission
• Familiarity with Trophon High Level Disinfection preferred

Additional Information

• 16 hours of orientation provided
• Navy blue scrubs for RNs
• Call/standby rotation required; you must commit to working 3 of 5 designated holidays
• No float between units
• All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront
