Travel Pharmacist – Inpatient Night Shift | West Plains, MO

Shift: Night | 4x10-Hour (19:30–05:30)

Contract: 13 weeks | Start: ASAP

Weekends: Required (every other weekend, 18:00–06:00)

About the Role

This inpatient pharmacy position places you as the sole pharmacist on duty during overnight hours, covering a full-service acute care pharmacy serving a broad patient population — neonates through geriatrics. You will handle order verification and work a clinical alert queue addressing pharmacokinetic dosing, renal dosing, and other time-sensitive interventions. Attendance at code blues or rapid responses is not expected.

Clinical Skills Required

• Anticoagulation, warfarin, pharmacokinetic, renal, geriatric, and pediatric dosing
• High-alert medication management and therapeutic drug monitoring
• IV preparation: antibiotics, compounding, IV piggyback, and sterile technique
• Medication dispensing and unit dose storage systems
• Pharmacotherapy management across cardiovascular, endocrine, infectious disease, pulmonary, and renal conditions

Preferred Skills

• Cardiac dosing
• Drug shortage management

Requirements

• Missouri state pharmacy license required (pending accepted — must be in process at time of offer)
• PharmD or RPh
• Minimum 1 year of inpatient/acute care pharmacy experience
• BLS preferred
• COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
