Labor & Delivery RN — Templeton, CA

Night Shift | 13-Week Contract | 36 Hours/Week

This Labor & Delivery position is based at a full-service acute care facility in Templeton, CA, nestled among the oak trees of northern San Luis Obispo County — minutes from coastal beaches, scenic hiking trails, and a vibrant farm-to-fork dining scene.

The Role

You'll provide comprehensive nursing care across the antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum periods within an LDRP model. Responsibilities include circulating for C-sections, managing perinatal emergencies (crash C-section, precipitous delivery, shoulder dystocia), assessing fetal and maternal well-being, managing epidural catheter placement, and educating patients and families throughout the perinatal continuum.

Schedule

• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (rotating)
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Note: This role will begin on day shift during an internal transition period before moving to permanent nights. Flexibility to work both shifts during the transition is required.
• No call required

Required Certifications & Qualifications

• Active RN license (California or compact)
• BLS, ACLS, NRP
• AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification
• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience

Preferred

• BSN

This is a straightforward night-shift L&D role with no on-call obligations, set in one of California's most scenic coastal communities.
