Labor and Delivery Nurse
About the Role
The facility's Labor and Delivery unit uses an LDRP model, providing comprehensive care to mothers and newborns throughout the antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum periods. You'll assess and manage maternal and fetal well-being, recognize and respond to perinatal emergencies including crash C-sections and shoulder dystocia, manage pain control (including epidural support and alternative methods), and educate patients and families. You'll also supervise and delegate care to ancillary personnel and maintain accurate, timely documentation.
Shift & Schedule
- Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- 36 hours per week (rotating shifts)
- No on-call required
- 18-week contract
Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Nursing or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years recent Labor and Delivery experience
- Current RN license (state of practice)
- BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring certifications
- Experience with electronic health records
Preferred
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
