Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery
Position Overview
The facility seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to join its Labor & Delivery unit on a 13-week contract. You'll provide comprehensive intrapartum care in an LDRP (labor, delivery, recovery, postpartum) model, supporting patients through labor and delivery in a collaborative, evidence-based environment.
Shift & Schedule
- Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- 36 hours per week, rotating shifts
- No on-call requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care throughout the labor and delivery process
- Monitor fetal heart rate and maternal vital signs; respond to changes in clinical status
- Provide labor support and education to patients and families
- Coordinate care with physicians, midwives, and interdisciplinary team members
- Maintain meticulous documentation and adherence to nursing standards and hospital policies
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license in California
- Minimum two years recent acute care RN experience, with strong labor & delivery background preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR systems)
