Registered Nurse – ICU
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for its ICU. You'll care for high-acuity patients, performing comprehensive assessments, implementing evidence-based interventions, and coordinating care with the interdisciplinary team. This role requires strong clinical judgment, excellent communication, and the ability to function effectively in fast-paced, dynamic situations.
Shift & Contract Details
- Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Hours: 36 hours per week
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: September 28, 2026
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license in California
- Minimum 1 year recent acute care experience (OR experience preferred)
- Minimum 2 years recent ICU, stepdown, or emergency department experience preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor (required at hire)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (required within 6 months of hire)
- Proficiency with electronic health records systems
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and evaluate patient status; implement and document individualized care plans
- Recognize and respond promptly to signs of cardiac or respiratory distress
- Administer medications accurately per hospital protocols
- Maintain clear, concise documentation and shift reports
- Collaborate with nursing and clinical staff to ensure coordinated, high-quality care
- Follow infection control and safety guidelines
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and staff education
