Operating Room Registered Nurse – Pediatric
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an Operating Room Registered Nurse to deliver direct patient care in a busy pediatric surgical environment. You'll work weekdays (M-F, 5/8 schedule) from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with on-call requirements. This is a 13-week contract assignment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures, prioritizing patient safety and optimal outcomes
- Perform circulating nurse duties: monitor patient status, document care in the EHR, and maintain accurate clinical records
- Provide scrub nurse support: maintain sterile technique, prepare instruments, and assist surgeons to ensure procedural efficiency
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary surgical team to support efficient workflows and high-quality clinical outcomes
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse license from the Texas Board of Nursing (required prior to hire date)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (required within 30 days of start date)
- Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification (required within 6 months of start date)
- Nursing diploma from an accredited school or college
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of Operating Room RN experience
- Pediatric OR nursing experience
Unit Environment
You'll work in a pediatric surgical suite with multiple operating rooms and endoscopy procedure areas. The unit handles a range of surgical cases with a focus on pediatric patients.

- Guaranteed 40 hours per week
