Certified Surgical Technologist – Operating Room
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (NBSTSA) for a 13-week contract assignment in the operating room. You will provide direct surgical support, implement and monitor perioperative care protocols, and serve as a key coordinator across surgical disciplines.
Shift & Schedule
Friday, Saturday, Sunday | 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM | 36 guaranteed hours per week
Required Experience & Credentials
- Current NBSTSA certification
- Strong background in orthopedic surgery
- Extensive neurosurgery experience
- Robotics proficiency across multiple surgical specialties
- ENT surgical experience
- Current nursing license (verification required)
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with surgical procedures across orthopedics, neurosurgery, robotics-assisted cases, and ENT
- Monitor and document patient condition during perioperative phases
- Coordinate care among surgical team members
- Execute physician and surgical orders with precision
- Assess discharge planning needs in collaboration with the healthcare team
- Follow Standard Precautions and utilize personal protective equipment appropriately
