Surgical Tech

Position: Certified Surgical Technologist

Shift & Schedule

• 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM, five 8-hour shifts per week
• 13-week contract
• On-call requirements; holidays may be worked

Clinical Setting

You'll support surgeries across orthopedic trauma, neurosurgery, and robotically-assisted procedures in multiple specialties. Experience with complex cases such as radical neck dissections is valued.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain sterile fields in the operating room
• Set up surgical instruments and equipment pre-operatively
• Assist with patient positioning and draping
• Pass instruments and provide intra-operative support, including tissue retraction
• Apply dressings and handle specimen preparation post-operatively
• Maintain strict adherence to sterile technique and Standard Precautions

Required Qualifications

• Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential
• Active, unrestricted state license
• Current BLS certification
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a high-stress environment
• Strong critical thinking and decisive judgment

Onboarding Requirements

• License verification
• Specialty exam and core competencies assessment
• Health screening, immunizations (MMR, Tdap, Varicella, Influenza, Hepatitis B), and TB testing
• Drug screening and background check
• Fit testing for personal protective equipment

Guaranteed 40 hours per week.
