Pediatric Respiratory Therapist – 12-Week Contract

Position Overview

The facility seeks an experienced Pediatric Respiratory Therapist to join a dynamic critical care team. You'll provide specialized respiratory support to neonatal and pediatric patients across multiple high-acuity units.

Shift & Schedule

• Days: 3x12-hour shifts (07:00–19:30)
• Contract: 12 weeks
• Guaranteed hours: 48 per week

Clinical Scope

You'll work in the NICU, PICU, and CVICU, managing high-level critical care for pediatric patients. Float assignments may include affiliated neonatal and pediatric rehabilitation units in the area.

Required Qualifications

• Active Ohio RRT license
• NBRC certification
• BLS, Advanced NRP, and PALS (all current and active)
• Minimum 2 years direct experience in pediatric, PICU, or NICU settings with high-acuity patient care
• Two professional references (manager, ANM, supervisor, or director) from assignments within the past 12 months

Key Requirements

• Active, unencumbered certifications at time of submission
• Nicotine-free status; negative 10-panel drug screen (including cotinine) required
• BCI/FBI fingerprinting must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing
• Complete facility onboarding, including two fingerprinting processes
• Annual hands-on competency requirement for extended assignments

All scheduling requests and time-off preferences must be discussed and confirmed during the interview. Background checks will be reviewed; facility does not accept license hits. This is a smoke-free facility.
