NICU Registered Nurse — Night Shift
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced NICU Registered Nurse to join the night shift team (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM). You will deliver coordinated, evidence-based nursing care to neonates and their families in a dynamic acute care environment. This role includes charge nurse responsibilities, supervising and directing nursing staff, and collaborating across disciplines to ensure safe, compassionate care.
Schedule & Duration
- 4 x 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
- 13-week contract
- Start date: October 26, 2026
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- Holiday requests will not be approved
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, and implement individualized care for neonatal patients and their families
- Supervise and coordinate activities of nursing staff
- Utilize critical thinking and clinical judgment to manage complex patient situations
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, social work, and other disciplines
- Educate patients and families on care and discharge planning
- Participate in quality improvement and safe patient care initiatives
Required Qualifications
- Current RN licensure in California
- Minimum 2 years recent acute care nursing experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Current BLS certification from approved vendor
- AHA-NRP or ARC-NALS certification
- S.T.A.B.L.E. certification
- Experience with electronic health records required
