PACU Travel Nurse | Cedar Rapids, IA | 13-Week Contract
A busy post-anesthesia care unit is seeking an experienced PACU Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. This is a day-shift, Monday–Friday position with flexible start times between 0900–1200, working 8-hour shifts at 40 hours per week.
Unit Overview
- Post-anesthesia care setting managing a diverse patient population, all types
- Hands-on experience with drips and titrations required
- Strong telemetry skills (reading and measuring) essential
Schedule & Expectations
- Days | Monday–Friday | 8-hour shifts | 0900–1200 flexible start
- Every-other weekend, as needed
- Holiday rotation: 1–2 of the 3 upcoming winter holidays required
- On-call: as needed; no formal call requirement currently
Requirements
- Minimum 12 months of PACU / Post Anesthesia Care experience (24 months reflected in work history)
- Current/recent pediatric care experience
- Drips and titration experience
- Experience in hospital, medical center, same-day surgery, or outpatient surgery setting
- Active Iowa RN license or compact/multistate licensure
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS (AHA) — all required
- Skills checklist specific to PACU discipline required
Additional Notes
- Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
- Scrubs are hospital-provided
- First-time travelers may be considered based on skills and experience
