NICU Registered Nurse — Nights | Bakersfield, CA
13-Week Contract | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | 36–48 Hours/Week Guaranteed
This night-shift NICU travel assignment places you in an acute care facility in Bakersfield, CA, caring for neonatal patients requiring specialized monitoring and intervention. The unit manages a range of neonatal acuity levels, and the care team collaborates closely across disciplines to deliver family-centered, developmentally appropriate care.
Shift & Schedule
- Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- 36 guaranteed hours per week (48-hour weeks available)
- Holiday RTO will not be approved
Clinical Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care for neonatal patients
- Coordinate care delivery with interdisciplinary teams and support families throughout the continuum
- Participate in discharge planning to ensure smooth care transitions
- Delegate and supervise assigned nursing staff using sound clinical judgment
Required Certifications & Licensure
- Active RN license (California or applicable compact)
- BLS (AHA-approved)
- AHA-NRP or ARC-NALS
- S.T.A.B.L.E. Certification
Experience & Skills
- Minimum 2 years of recent NICU experience required
- BSN preferred
- Electronic health records experience required
