Respiratory Therapist – Night Shift

Position Overview

The facility is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for night shift coverage in a critical care environment serving both adult and pediatric patients. You'll manage airway support, mechanical ventilation, and respiratory interventions across multiple units.

Schedule & Duration

• 3x12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Every 3rd weekend and holiday rotation
• 13-week contract
• Floating to other campus locations as needed

Clinical Scope

You'll provide respiratory care across the Emergency Department, Adult ICU, and Pediatric general care settings, with potential PICU involvement. Core responsibilities include:

• Airway management and intubation assistance
• Mechanical ventilation management and weaning
• Arterial blood gas collection and interpretation
• Oxygen therapy, suctioning, and pulmonary hygiene
• Bronchoscopy assistance and tracheostomy care
• BiPAP/CPAP setup and management
• Medication administration via aerosol and nebulizer

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year respiratory therapy experience (adult experience required; pediatric experience helpful)
• RRT certification
• Current NC state respiratory therapy license
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications
• Servo I ventilator experience preferred
• First-time travelers welcome
