Emergency Department RN – Night Shift

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN for a 13-week contract. You'll work night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) in a fast-paced emergency setting, managing diverse patient populations across all age groups.

Shift & Schedule

• 3x12-hour night shifts per week
• 4-patient ratio
• Weekend coverage as needed by department
• No floating required; no on-call
• Pre-approved time off must be requested at time of submission

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of ER nursing experience
• Current California RN license (in hand at submission)
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS
• Professional reference (within 2 years)
• Nursys report (pulled within 2 weeks)

Clinical Skills & Scope

You'll manage high-acuity emergency patients, including:

• Arterial line and central line management
• Ventilator care and sedation management
• Hemodynamic monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
• Blood gas interpretation and procedural sedation
• Resuscitation, trauma, and stroke cases
• BiPAP/CPAP management
• Blood product administration

Orientation & Training

24 hours of orientation with approximately 8 hours of electronic health record training during your first weeks.
