Preop and Phase II PACU Clinician – Gastroenterology Lab

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced preop and Phase II PACU clinician to join its gastroenterology lab team. You'll provide direct patient care in a fast-paced endoscopy setting, supporting a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.

Shift & Schedule

• Day shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, 5 days per week
• No weekends
• Call requirement: 3 shifts per 2-week period
• 13-week contract
• Start date: ASAP

Clinical Scope

You'll work with adult and geriatric patients undergoing procedures including EGD, colonoscopy, ERCP, bronchoscopy, and endoscopic ultrasound. Your responsibilities include:

• Administering and monitoring conscious sedation and monitored anesthesia care
• Airway management and recovery of sedated patients
• Circulating and scrubbing procedures
• Starting and maintaining IVs
• Pre- and post-procedure patient care
• Specimen handling and labeling
• Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Obtaining 12-lead EKGs

Float Requirement

You will float to nearby sister facilities (Santa Rosa or Healdsburg area). You will be informed of float assignments at least 24 hours in advance.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years clinical experience
• Current California state license (required at submission; no pending licenses)
• ACLS, BLS, CGRN certifications
• Preferred: previous charge experience and community hospital background
