CVOR Scrub Technician

Shift: 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM

About the Role
The facility's cardiovascular operating room performs a full spectrum of open-heart and thoracic procedures. You'll work as a scrub technician in a 6-OR unit with a strong reputation for surgical excellence and efficient case management.
Clinical Scope
Cases include CABG, valve replacement, VAD insertions, TAVR, VATS, lobectomy, pacemaker/AICD insertions, septal myectomy, Ross procedures, EVH, IABP insertions, femoral cannulation, and circulatory arrest procedures.
All cases require one scrub and one circulator. Pump cases may require a first assist/heart holder (RN or CST). You'll work alongside a unit secretary, charge nurse, PCA, and core tech.
Requirements
- MANDATORY: Current CST certification and BLS
- MANDATORY: Extensive CVOR scrub experience and a minimum of 2 completed travel assignments (no exceptions)
- First assist experience preferred but not required
- Willingness to occasionally float and rotate on-call shifts
What to Expect
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- Hospital-provided scrubs; surgical attire policy applies
- Not a training facility—cases are highly efficient with strong surgical outcomes
- Orientation and unit policies provided upon hire
