Maternity Care Center – Mother Baby Nurse
Position Overview
We're seeking an experienced OB nurse for our Maternity Care Center on the night shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM). This is a 13-week travel contract with 36 guaranteed hours per week.
About the Unit
You'll work in a comprehensive maternity setting that includes labor & delivery, post-partum/gynecology, operating rooms, and a wellborn nursery. The unit provides full-spectrum perinatal care: labor induction, vaginal delivery, cesarean sections, and post-partum/newborn care with midwife collaboration.
Your Role
- Manage couplet care (mother and baby) with typical ratios of 3 couplets per nurse
- Perform cesarean section circulating and first-assist duties (experience preferred but not required)
- Respond to birth emergencies and OBED patients as needed
- Float within the unit only
Requirements
- Current OB nursing experience required
- BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN certifications
- Energetic, self-directed approach to patient care
Schedule & Logistics
- Night shift: Friday and Saturday (4 shifts per week in a rotating 4-week cycle)
- No on-call requirement for travel staff
- Scrubs provided
- Optional extra shifts available
