Respiratory Therapist — 13-Week Contract

Position Overview

The facility seeks an experienced Respiratory Therapist to support critical care and emergency department patients across all age groups (adolescents through geriatrics). You'll provide comprehensive respiratory services including mechanical ventilation management, airway care, and bedside bronchoscopy.

Shift & Schedule

• 40 hours weekly (combination of 12-hour and 8-hour shifts)
• No back-to-back day and evening shifts
• Weekend coverage required
• One pre-approved time off included

Requirements

• PA State respiratory therapy license (must be in hand before start)
• RRT certification and BLS/ACLS required
• Minimum 1 year respiratory therapy experience
• First-time travelers welcome
• COVID-19 and flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only)
• 72-hour orientation; ~4 hours of pre-start modules

Clinical Scope

• Bedside bronchoscopy
• Mechanical ventilation weaning and troubleshooting
• Arterial blood gas draws and interpretation
• Tracheostomy and airway management
• High-flow nasal cannula, BiPAP, and CPAP setup and monitoring
• Pulmonary hygiene and suctioning
• Support for rapid response teams

• Candidates within 50 miles are not eligible
• 13-week contract with guaranteed hours
• Applicants must not have worked at the facility within the past year if previously employed there
