Surgical Services OR Nurse – 12-Hour Rotation
Position Overview
The facility's 24/7 operating room is seeking an experienced OR nurse for a 13-week contract. You'll work in a high-volume surgical environment performing a diverse range of procedures across multiple specialties.
Shift & Schedule
- 12-hour rotations: Days (7 AM) and evenings (9 AM or 11 AM start times)
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- Every 3rd weekend required
- On-call: 1x per schedule
- May float to other OR areas as needed
Surgical Specialties
You'll support cases in general surgery, gynecology, GU, oral, otolaryngology, bariatrics, orthopedics, neurosurgery, vascular, thoracic, cardiac, plastics, podiatry, robotics, pediatrics, trauma, and spine. The facility operates 17 ORs with continuous staffing.
Requirements
- 2+ years of inpatient OR experience (Level 1 trauma experience preferred)
- Scrub experience required
- Competence in at least 5 of the surgical services listed above
- Current BLS certification
- Strong communication and flexibility
- Positive, collaborative attitude
Preferred
- Neuro, vascular, and multi-specialty experience beyond general and GYN
