Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
About the Role
Join the labor and delivery team at the facility in a fast-paced, high-acuity perinatal setting. You'll care for laboring patients, assist with vaginal and cesarean deliveries, manage mother-baby couplets, and support antepartum patients. This is an academic teaching service with robust physician and specialty coverage.
What You'll Do
- Provide direct patient care across labor, delivery, recovery, and areas
- Monitor high-risk pregnancies and manage fetal monitoring
- Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesia, and NICU teams
- Support patients through cesarean delivery and postpartum care
- Participate in perinatal transport when needed
Required Qualifications
- Texas RN license
- BLS Provider certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification
- Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification
- Minimum 2 years labor and delivery/perinatal experience in a high-volume setting
- Associate's degree in nursing from an accredited program
Preferred Qualifications
- 3–5 years perinatal clinical experience
- Bachelor's degree in nursing
- S.T.A.B.L.E. Program or Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification
