O.R. Staff Nurse – Operating Room
About the Role
The facility's Surgical Services Department is seeking an experienced O.R. Staff Nurse to provide professional nursing care across the operating room environment. You'll work as part of the surgical team, supervising and coordinating care planning with interdisciplinary colleagues while ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout procedures.
Schedule & Duration
- Shift: Monday–Thursday, 7:00 AM–4:30 PM (4 x 10-hour days)
- Contract: 13 weeks
- On-call duties required
Requirements
- Current California RN license
- Minimum 2 years recent O.R. or perioperative nursing experience
- BLS certification (current and recertified every 2 years)
- ACLS certification (within 6 months of start; recertified every 2 years)
- PALS certification (within 6 months of start; recertified every 2 years)
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
Preferred Certifications
- CNOR, PANAC, or AAOPU (Outpatient specialty credentials)
What to Expect
You'll work in a fast-paced surgical environment with exposure to blood and body fluids. The role demands strict adherence to HIPAA and confidentiality protocols. You'll use standard O.R. equipment including IV pumps, monitors, and other surgical support devices.
