Cardiac and Vascular Radiographic Technologist
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Schedule: Variable shifts available (7:00 AM–5:30 PM, 8:00 AM–6:30 PM, or 9:00 AM–7:30 PM)
About the Role
You'll perform cardiac and vascular radiographic examinations and assist with active interventional procedures in the cardiovascular lab. Working alongside physicians, you'll produce high-quality digital images, position and instruct patients, and provide clinical care using advanced technical and critical thinking skills. This role includes opportunities to mentor staff and contribute to departmental hiring and promotion decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate diagnostic imaging equipment to produce contrast-enhanced radiographs during cardiac catheterization
- Assist physicians with specialized cardiovascular interventional procedures
- Position and immobilize patients following established protocols
- Produce digital images per physician orders
- Mentor and train technical staff
- Participate in team hiring and promotion input
Requirements
- Current state Radiologic Technologist (RT) license
- Current BLS/CPR certification from an approved vendor
- Fluoroscopy (FLUORO) certification
- Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS) certification
- Prevention and Management of Violent Behavior (PVMB), TEAM, or CPI training
- Minimum 2–3 years recent technical experience in special procedures (preferred)
- Associate's degree or equivalent (Bachelor's preferred)
Call Schedule
After-hours call every other weekend; two weeknights per week (details discussed at interview).
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
