Medical/Surgical RN — Coastal California

Shift: Days | 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM | 36 hours/week

Contract Duration: 13 weeks

Start Date: October 12, 2026

This Med/Surg travel opportunity is based in Fort Bragg, CA — a scenic coastal community known for its redwood forests, beaches, and outdoor recreation. The facility is a critical access hospital with a long-standing history of serving its coastal community.

The Role

As a Med/Surg RN, you'll deliver coordinated nursing care to an assigned patient population, applying the full nursing process from assessment through discharge planning. You'll supervise and direct ancillary nursing staff while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support safe, patient-centered outcomes.

Key Clinical Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care
• Coordinate care across disciplines and communicate with patients and families
• Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care
• Delegate appropriately to nursing team members
• Provide patient and family education throughout the care continuum

Requirements

• Active RN license in California (or compact eligibility)
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care Med/Surg experience
• BLS (AHA) — Required
• ACLS (AHA or ARC) — Required
• BSN preferred
• Prior experience with electronic health records required
