Med/Surg RN — Night Shift | Fort Bragg, CA | 13-Week Contract

This position is based at a critical access hospital serving a coastal community in Northern California. The Med/Surg unit provides coordinated nursing care across a range of acuity levels, with an emphasis on evidence-based practice, patient safety, and continuity of care.

Shift & Schedule

• Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• 36 hours per week (guaranteed)
• 13-week contract | Start date: October 12, 2026

Role Overview

As a Med/Surg RN, you will:

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care
• Supervise and delegate to nursing staff across experience levels
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate safe, patient-centered care
• Provide patient and family education and participate in discharge planning
• Apply independent clinical judgment and critical thinking throughout the care continuum

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in California (or compact equivalent)
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience
• BLS certification (AHA or ARC)
• ACLS certification (AHA or ARC)

Preferred

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
