Position: RN – NICU
Shift & Duration
7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, 36 hours/week
13-week contract
About the Role
Join the facility's NICU team to deliver coordinated, evidence-based nursing care to neonatal patients and their families. You'll work collaboratively with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other specialists to provide safe, compassionate care in a dynamic acute care setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and analyze patient data to identify care needs and develop individualized treatment plans
- Implement nursing interventions and monitor patient progress toward established outcomes
- Provide family-centered care and education to support parents through their NICU experience
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity and quality of care
- Participate in discharge planning and coordinate safe transitions
- Delegate and supervise nursing staff activities appropriately
- Maintain a safe, healing environment for vulnerable neonatal patients
Required Qualifications
- Current RN licensure in California
- Minimum 2 years recent acute care experience
- Current BLS certification
- AHA-NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) or ARC-NALS certification
- S.T.A.B.L.E (Stabilization) Certification
- Experience with the electronic health record system used by the facility
Preferred
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
