Pharmacist – Day Shift

Position Overview

The facility's Pharmacy Department is seeking a Pharmacist to deliver direct patient care and clinical support across hospital operations. You'll work a 4 x 10 schedule (day shift, 6:30 AM – 5:30 PM) with occasional weekend coverage.

Key Responsibilities

• Compound and admix sterile pharmaceutical products
• Dispense medications and provide drug information to clinical staff
• Monitor patient drug therapy and conduct clinical consultations
• Collaborate with nursing and physician teams to optimize medication safety and outcomes
• Support daily pharmacy operations and maintain accurate records

Required Qualifications

• Current California Pharmacist License
• Graduate of an accredited college of pharmacy
• At least 1–2 years of recent hospital pharmacy experience preferred
• Residency training preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work courteously with healthcare team members and patients
• Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of maintaining strict patient confidentiality (HIPAA compliance)

Physical Demands

• Frequent bending, squatting, kneeling, reaching, sitting, standing, and walking
• Occasional lifting of boxes/supplies up to 25 pounds
• Good close vision and ability to adjust focus

Contract Details

• 13-week assignment
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• 4 days per week; no set schedule (weekends included occasionally)
• Start date: October 12, 2026
