Labor & Delivery Nurse – Night Shift
The Opportunity
The facility seeks an experienced Labor & Delivery nurse for a 13-week night contract. You'll work 4 x 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) providing coordinated care to obstetric patients and supporting the clinical team.
Your Role
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum stages.
- Supervise and coordinate activities of nursing staff and other clinical team members.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using critical thinking and professional judgment.
- Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and interdisciplinary care teams.
- Participate in patient and family education, discharge planning, and continuity of care.
- Delegate and coordinate duties appropriately among healthcare team members.
What You Need
- RN licensure in California (required)
- At least 2 years of recent acute care experience (preferred)
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred)
- BLS certification – required
- AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS certification – required
- Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) certification – required
- AHA-NRP or ARC-NALS certification – required
Schedule & Details
- Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 4 x 12-hour pattern (36 or 48-hour weeks available)
- Floating required to affiliated facility as needed
- Holiday RTO not approved
- 13-week contract | Start: October 12, 2026
