Cardiac and Vascular Radiologic Technologist

Position Overview

The facility is seeking a Cardiac and Vascular Radiologic Technologist to join the cardiovascular lab. You'll perform diagnostic and interventional radiographic procedures, operating advanced imaging equipment to assist physicians in cardiac catheterizations and specialized vascular studies. This role combines technical expertise with direct patient care in a fast-paced interventional environment.

Shift & Schedule

• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Contract duration: 13 weeks
• On-call: Every other weekend and 2 weeknights per week
• Guaranteed hours: 36 per week

Key Responsibilities

• Operate diagnostic imaging equipment to produce contrast-enhanced radiographs of the heart and cardiovascular system
• Position and immobilize patients following established protocols
• Assist physicians with cardiac catheterizations and specialized interventional procedures
• Deliver clinical care using strong technical and organizational skills
• Mentor and train staff on technical competencies

Required Qualifications

• Current Radiologic Technologist (RT) license for your state of practice
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Fluoroscopy (FLUORO) certification
• Violence prevention training (PVMB, TEAM, or CPI equivalent)
• Minimum 2 years recent experience in radiologic technology
• CPR certification

Preferred Qualifications

• ARRT certification
• Bachelor's Degree in radiologic technology
• 3+ years technical experience
• Special Procedures Technologist background
