Mammography Technologist
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Mammography Technologist to join the radiology department. You'll perform specialized breast examinations to support diagnosis and treatment of breast disease, operating specialized equipment and providing skilled clinical care in a patient-centered environment.
Shift & Schedule
- Monday–Thursday, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- 13-week contract
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic and screening mammograms as ordered
- Prepare for and assist radiologists with complex mammography examinations, including breast biopsies
- Produce high-quality images for radiologist interpretation
- Complete accurate patient documentation
- Educate patients on procedures while maintaining privacy and comfort
- Follow infection control and safety protocols
- Gather patient information and communicate preparation instructions to care areas
- Escalate clinical questions or challenges to senior staff
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology
- Current California Radiologic Technologist (RT) license
- Current Mammography Technologist certification
- ARRT-R (Radiography) certification
- ARRT-M (Mammography) certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Minimum two years recent experience in mammography
Preferred Qualifications
- Fluoroscopy license
- Venipuncture certification
- DEXA experience
