Registered Nurse – Emergency Department
Location: Fort Bragg, CA
Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Hours: 36 hours per week
About the Role
You'll deliver coordinated emergency nursing care in a critical access hospital serving a close-knit coastal community. This role requires supervising assigned nursing staff, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and providing direct patient care in a fast-paced emergency setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess patients, analyze data, and develop individualized care plans
- Supervise and direct nursing staff activities
- Implement evidence-based interventions and evaluate patient progress
- Coordinate care across departments and with patients' families
- Educate patients and team members
- Participate in discharge planning and care transitions
- Delegate appropriately and ensure safe, compassionate patient environments
Requirements
Education & Licensure:
- Current RN licensure in California
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- At least 2 years recent acute care experience preferred
Certifications Required:
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
- S.T.A.B.L.E Certification
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) preferred
