Pharmacist – Inpatient
Position Overview
The facility seeks a Pharmacist to join its inpatient pharmacy team. You'll verify and fill medication orders, monitor patient medication therapies, provide drug information, identify medication safety hazards, and document clinical interactions. You'll also supervise pharmacy support staff.
Shift & Schedule
- 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- 16-week contract
Required Qualifications
- Pharmacy degree (PharmD or equivalent) and current state pharmacist license
- Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Active Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Active Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
Preferred Experience
- One or more years of inpatient clinical pharmacy experience
- Technical pharmacy background
Key Responsibilities
- Process, verify, and distribute medication orders promptly per hospital and regulatory standards
- Review medication therapies for safety, efficacy, cost-effectiveness, and optimal outcomes
- Assess prescribing appropriateness (indication, dose, route, frequency, allergies, interactions)
- Conduct daily medication utilization reviews and quality assurance
- Participate in clinical rounds and population-based medication management activities
- Identify and drive medication improvement initiatives
- Support regulatory and accreditation compliance
