Cardiac and Vascular Radiographer – Cath Lab

Position Overview

We are seeking a Cardiac and Vascular Radiographer to join our cardiovascular lab team. You will perform diagnostic and interventional radiographic procedures, operating sophisticated imaging equipment to assist physicians in real-time cardiac catheterization and specialized vascular studies.

Clinical Scope

In this role, you will:

• Operate diagnostic imaging equipment to produce contrast-enhanced radiographs of the heart and cardiovascular system
• Assist physicians during active interventional procedures in the cardiovascular lab
• Position and immobilize patients, manage contrast medium injection, and activate fluoroscopy and cinefluorography systems
• Provide patient education and ensure comfort and safety throughout procedures
• Document technical parameters and collaborate with the clinical team

Schedule & Call

• Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Call: Every other weekend and two weeknights per week
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

Required Qualifications

• Current Radiologic Technologist (RT) license in California
• Current BLS/CPR certification from an approved vendor
• Minimum two years recent experience in cardiovascular or special procedures imaging
• ARRT certification preferred
• Associate's Degree or equivalent; Bachelor's Degree in radiologic technology preferred

Additional Requirements

• Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS) certification required upon hire
