Registered Nurse – Emergency Department & ICU

Position Overview

The facility is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Emergency Department and Medical-Surgical/ICU unit. You'll provide direct patient care in fast-paced, acute settings, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality outcomes.

Shift & Duration

• Schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Hours: 36 or 48 hours per week (per manager preference)
• Contract: 13 weeks
• Start Date: September 28, 2026

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license in the State of California
• At least one year of RN experience within the last 24 months, with acute critical care experience in the last 12 months; OR 2+ years as an EMT/ED Tech in good standing
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Proficiency with electronic health record systems
• Basic computer skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Emergency department and ICU experience
• MICN certification (must obtain within one year of hire)
• Additional certifications: NRP, TNCC, or CEN

Role Expectations

• Float between assigned units as needed
• Perform frequent bending, lifting, transferring, and physical patient care activities
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
• Demonstrate strong communication and clinical judgment

Physical Environment

This role requires standing, walking, frequent lifting and patient transfers, and ability to adjust focus for close visual tasks.
