Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical Unit
About the Role
The facility seeks an experienced RN to deliver coordinated, high-quality nursing care on a medical-surgical unit. You will supervise and direct nursing staff, analyze patient data, develop individualized care plans, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, compassionate patient outcomes. This is a leadership-focused position requiring strong critical thinking and professional judgment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess patients and analyze clinical data to identify care needs
- Develop and implement evidence-based care plans
- Supervise and delegate tasks to nursing staff
- Coordinate care delivery across disciplines
- Educate patients and families on health management
- Participate in discharge planning for continuity of care
- Foster a safe, healing environment for patients and staff
Requirements
- Current RN license in California
- Minimum 2 years recent acute care experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Current BLS certification (required)
- ACLS certification (required)
- PALS certification preferred for initial contract; must be obtained if extending beyond 13 weeks
Shift & Schedule
- Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- 36 hours per week with weekend rotation
- 13-week contract
- Solid color scrubs
