NICU Registered Nurse
Position Overview
Join the facility's NICU as a Registered Nurse delivering coordinated care to neonatal patients. You will assess patient status, develop and implement individualized care plans, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and provide education to families. This role includes supervisory responsibilities for nursing staff and coordination of care across disciplines.
Shift & Schedule
- 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, 36 hours per week (day shift only)
- 13-week contract
- Holiday rotation time off will not be approved
Required Qualifications
- Current RN licensure in California
- Current BLS certification from an approved vendor
- AHA-NRP or ARC-NALS certification
- S.T.A.B.L.E. Certification
- At least 2 years recent NICU or acute care experience
- Experience with electronic health records systems
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
Essential Duties
- Collect and analyze patient assessment data
- Develop and implement neonatal care plans
- Collaborate with patients' families and healthcare team members
- Provide patient and family education
- Participate in discharge planning
- Supervise and coordinate activities of assigned nursing staff
- Maintain a safe, healing care environment
