Clinical Laboratory Supervisor

Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM (4 x 10-hour days, consecutive)

Duration: 13 weeks

Location: Fort Bragg, CA

The Role

The facility's laboratory is seeking an experienced Clinical Laboratory Scientist to serve as technical consultant and direct supervisor of laboratory personnel. You'll manage all laboratory testing performance, develop and maintain quality control policies and standards, and ensure compliance with CLIA, FDA, and accreditation requirements. You'll also function as a resource medical technologist when needed and oversee lab safety and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all laboratory testing and coordinate point-of-care testing (POCT)
• Review and evaluate validity and accuracy of test results
• Identify competency gaps and conduct training on instrumentation, technology, and procedures
• Establish test performance characteristics including precision, accuracy, and reference ranges
• Evaluate new laboratory instrumentation, procedures, and automation for implementation
• Coordinate equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and calibration programs
• Serve as liaison to other departments for laboratory specialty needs
• Ensure regulatory compliance and quality control standards

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory science, biological sciences, or related field
• Valid Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) license (California)
• Current BLS certification
• Current ASCP or NCA certification preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years clinical laboratory experience
• 2+ years leadership or supervisory experience
• Senior or Lead CLS experience
