Cardiac and Vascular Radiologic Technologist – Interventional Procedures

Position Overview

The facility is seeking a Cardiac and Vascular Radiologic Technologist to join its cardiovascular lab. You'll perform and assist with cardiac and vascular radiographic examinations, operating sophisticated imaging equipment during active interventional procedures. This role combines technical precision with direct patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate diagnostic imaging equipment to produce contrast-enhanced radiographs during cardiac catheterization and other cardiovascular interventional procedures
• Position and immobilize patients using specialized protocols and safety equipment
• Assist physicians with complex procedural imaging, ensuring optimal image quality and patient safety
• Mentor and train staff on technical skills and departmental protocols
• Contribute to hiring and promotion decisions for the department

Requirements

• Current state Radiologic Technologist (RT) license
• ARRT certification (preferred)
• Fluoroscopy certification (required)
• Current BLS or CPR certification from an approved vendor
• Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS) certification
• Behavior management training (PVMB, TEAM, or CPI)
• Minimum 2 years recent experience in radiologic technology; 3+ years preferred
• Special Procedures Technologist experience preferred

Work Schedule

• Variable day shifts (7 AM–5:30 PM, 8 AM–6:30 PM, or 9 AM–7:30 PM)
• On-call rotation: every other weekend plus 2 weeknights per week
• 13-week contract; 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Start date: October 12, 2026
