Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery / NICU
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the labor and delivery and neonatal intensive care unit. You'll deliver coordinated, high-quality nursing care to patients and families during one of life's most critical moments. This role includes supervising and directing nursing staff, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and utilizing clinical judgment to ensure safe, compassionate patient outcomes.
Clinical Scope
- Manage labor and postpartum patients across the delivery continuum
- Provide specialized care in a level II neonatal intensive care setting
- Assess patient health, develop individualized care plans, and implement evidence-based interventions
- Monitor fetal status using intermediate fetal monitoring skills
- Educate patients and families, participate in discharge planning, and coordinate continuity of care
- Delegate and supervise duties of healthcare team members
Requirements
- RN license (current and valid in California)
- Two years recent acute care experience required
- NICU experience required
- Current certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Intermediate fetal monitoring experience required
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Schedule & Contract
- Night shifts: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- 12-hour shifts, 36–48 hours/week
- 10-week contract
- Start date: September 28, 2026
