Registered Nurse – Night Shift
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Registered Nurse for its labor and delivery unit. You'll work nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) on a 36- or 48-hour weekly schedule, delivering coordinated care for obstetric patients and their families according to established standards of nursing practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, assessment, and nursing interventions for labor and delivery patients
- Supervise and direct activities of assigned nursing and support staff
- Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, compassionate care
- Develop and implement individualized care plans; evaluate progress toward patient outcomes
- Educate patients and families on labor processes, pain management, and postpartum care
- Participate in discharge planning and care coordination
- Delegate tasks appropriately and maintain a safe, healing environment
Requirements
- Current RN licensure in California
- Minimum 2 years recent acute care experience
- Current BLS/CPR certification from an approved vendor
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Contract Details
- Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (nights)
