Labor & Delivery RN — Night Shift | Sioux City, IA | 13-Week Contract
This Labor & Delivery position is based in a high-volume obstetric unit managing 200–300 deliveries per month with a high-acuity patient population. The role involves caring for laboring patients across the full spectrum of obstetric acuity, including high-risk pregnancies, and requires strong circulating skills in the delivery setting.
Shift & Schedule
- 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 12-hour night shifts
- 36 hours per week
- Every third weekend required
- Float to Postpartum expected 1–2 shifts per week
Contract Details
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: October 26, 2026
- Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of current Labor & Delivery experience (within the past 24 months)
- High-risk and high-acuity obstetric experience
- Circulating experience in a busy delivery environment
- Active Iowa RN license (verified active in Nursys at time of submission)
Required Certifications
- BLS (AHA or ARC)
- ACLS (AHA or ARC)
- AWHONN Fetal Monitoring Certification
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
Preferred Qualifications
- Multiple completed travel contracts
- Scrub experience
- Experience at high-volume delivery centers (200–300+ deliveries/month)
A professional reference from a charge nurse, supervisor, or nurse manager within the past 24 months is preferred at the time of submission.
