Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN — Night Shift | Greeneville, TN
13-Week Contract | Nights: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM | 3x12-Hour Shifts
Schedule & Float
- 36-hour weekly work commitment; every other weekend required
- Floating required to Med-Surg type patients
- No call required
- Orientation begins on Sundays (online modules); total orientation is 72 hours, with 16 hours non-billable
Required Certifications
- AHA BLS and AHA ACLS (AHA certification only — no exceptions)
Key Skills & Competencies
- Telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation/management
- Port access, PICC line and central line management
- Chest tube, tracheostomy, and surgical drain care
- BiPAP/CPAP and high-flow nasal cannula management
- Blood product administration, heparin, insulin drips
- Wound care/wound vac, colostomy/ileostomy care
- Renal failure management, CVA care
- Total joint replacement experience preferred
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years RN experience
- Must reside 100+ miles from the facility's service area
- Must pass an EKG competency test within 72 hours of offer acceptance (two attempts allowed)
- Drug screening must be completed 12–14 days prior to start date
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
- COVID-19 vaccine not required
- Facial hair must comply with CDC fit-testing guidelines
