PICU Registered Nurse — Travel Contract
Lubbock, TX | Nights | 13-Week Contract
This children's hospital is seeking an experienced PICU RN for a 13-week night shift contract. First-time travelers with at least one year of PICU experience are welcome to apply.
Shift & Schedule
- Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 3x12-hour shifts per week
- Self-scheduling — shifts may be worked consecutively or split
- Variable weekend requirement
- No on-call required
- Must commit to working 3 of the following 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day
Unit & Clinical Scope
Required Skills
- Ventilator and BiPAP/CPAP management
- Hemodynamic monitoring and IV vasopressor administration
- Central line and PICC line care
- Continuous sedation management
- Intubation assistance
- ICP and external ventricular drain (EVD) monitoring
- Chest tube management
- Arterial blood gas interpretation
- Dysrhythmia interpretation and management
- Post-cardiac surgery care
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of PICU experience
- BLS and PALS certifications required
- Compact RN license in hand at time of submission
- Scrub color: Navy (RNs)
- Orientation: 36 hours
