Ultrasonographer – 13-Week Contract
Position Overview
The facility's ultrasound department seeks an experienced Ultrasonographer for a 13-week assignment. You'll work in a compact, focused environment serving a varied patient population across all ages.
Shift & Schedule
- Days: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
- Variable schedule: Monday and Tuesday day shift, Wednesday night shift
- Weekend coverage: May be required to cover vacations
- Start: ASAP
- Holiday commitment: Must work 3 of 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
Clinical Scope
Daily census ranges from 6–12 patients. You'll perform a broad range of studies including:
- OB/GYN (1st, 2nd, 3rd trimester; fetal anatomical survey)
- Abdominal/pelvic (appendix, bladder, gallbladder, liver, pancreas, renal/bladder, spleen)
- Vascular (carotid, arterial/venous upper and lower extremity, renal artery duplex)
- Breast ultrasound, thyroid, prostate, testicles/scrotum
- Pediatric and neonatal imaging
- Guided procedures (biopsy, fine needle aspiration, paracentesis, thoracentesis)
- Portable and emergency department studies
Requirements
- License: California state license (compact license accepted; pending license acceptable at submission)
- Certifications: ARDMS AB, ARDMS BR, ARDMS OB/GYN, BLS, RVT, RDMS in AB or OB
- Experience: Minimum 2 years; at least 1 year required
- References: 2 references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
Facility Details
Three ultrasound rooms plus one portable machine. You may float to nearby sister facilities as needed.
