Registered Respiratory Therapist – 13-Week Contract
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist to deliver respiratory care and diagnostic procedures to cardiopulmonary patients across all ages and acuity levels, including Level 2 NICU patients.
Shift & Schedule
- 3 x 12-hour night shifts with rotating call and weekend requirements
- Contract duration: 13 weeks
- Start date: October 13, 2026
Clinical Scope
You'll manage ventilator-dependent patients, perform diagnostic procedures, and provide critical care support in a dynamic environment serving both adult and neonatal/pediatric populations.
Requirements
- NBRC RRT certification (CRT not accepted)
- Minimum 5 years respiratory therapy experience
- Current Colorado Registered Respiratory Therapist license (DORA)
- Strong critical care and mechanical ventilation expertise
- Neonatal and pediatric experience, including Level 2 NICU
- Current certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP (AAP) — all required
- Completion of an approved Respiratory Therapy Program
- Experienced travel clinician (not a first-time traveler)
- Mandatory flu vaccination required October 1 – April 1 (no declinations)
Eligibility
- Permanent address must be at least 75 miles from the facility (radius rule)
- Colorado state background clearance (CAPS) required; allow up to two weeks for processing
