Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) — Travel RN

Asheville, NC | Days | 13-Week Contract

This travel RN opportunity is in a pediatric intensive care unit serving critically ill infants and children. The unit manages high-acuity patients requiring advanced monitoring and complex interventions in a supportive, team-oriented environment.

Shift & Schedule

• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Must work 3 weekends per 6-week schedule

Clinical Scope

Nurses on this unit perform a broad range of procedures, including:

• IV starts and catheterizations
• Central line dressing changes
• Hemodynamic monitoring and ICP monitoring
• Ventilator management
• Tracheostomy care
• Tube feeding and placement
• Assisting with lumbar punctures

Float Requirements

May float to Pediatrics and NICU.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of PICU experience
• PALS certification required
• Active RN license

Dress Code

All navy, all white, or navy pants with white tops.

• Unit support includes a health unit coordinator (days) and a shared patient care technician
