Neurology/Stroke Unit – Registered Nurse
About the Role
Join the facility's fast-paced Neurology/Stroke Team where teamwork and clear communication directly impact patient outcomes. You'll provide skilled nursing care to stroke patients and general medical/surgical cases, focusing on helping patients regain independence in their daily activities.
Unit Overview
What You'll Do
- Deliver high-quality care to stroke and general medical/surgical patients
- Collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary care team
- Participate in ongoing quality improvement initiatives
- Monitor and assess neurological status using evidence-based protocols
Requirements
- Current RN license (verification required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification
- Successful completion of a proctored rhythm test
- Willingness to float to different units within a 35-mile radius based on staffing needs (you'll be notified before your shift if a float is required)
Assignment Details
- Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Hours: 36 guaranteed hours per week
- Start Date: October 19, 2026
The facility will conduct skills assessment and core competency evaluations upon hire.
