Staff RN – Labor & Delivery, Nights
About the Role
Join the labor and delivery unit as a night-shift Staff RN. You'll provide comprehensive nursing care to patients throughout labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period. This role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care using the nursing process, with responsibility for directing and delegating tasks to nursing assistants.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and manage patients in active labor, delivery, and recovery phases
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Perform electronic fetal monitoring and interpret findings
- Document nursing care thoroughly and communicate changes in patient status to physicians
- Ensure equipment and supplies are prepared and functioning properly
- Educate patients and families throughout the care process
- Maintain a safe, clean work environment
Required Qualifications
- Valid Ohio RN license
- CPR certification
- Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) Certificate required
- Associate degree in nursing (Bachelor's degree preferred)
- Previous RN experience preferred
